Markedsdag Lørdag May 2

Markedsdag Lørdag May 2

Last Saturday, I visited Jægergårdsgade street in the morning for my new spring decoration stuff.
It was a little cold day, but it was already crowded with many people. That time, I felt real spring was blooming in my heart! Blue sky, kids, smiling faces, food smell and each stuff has it's own stories. This flea market started at 10 AM. But I forgot to bring my plastic bag. So I bought new plastic bag to buy flea market stuff at the supermarket.

And it had small performances on the street.
It was brilliant. I never seen something like this natural atmosphere to enjoy life in my hometown. They didn't care about all the eyes that were turned upon them who performing dancing in the street. They just showed me how to enjoy life.
Around lunch time I found another performance at the small cafe.
They seemed to play their own music. Before playing music, it was just a small cafe. But when they started to play guitar, drum and cello, they changed to be the highlight in the flea market.
Many people were rocking this band's music.
Rock n roll!

But, suddenly I was hungry.x)
Fortunately, I could get free sausage and bread on the street.
I think it was event.

Now, I will show you about my shopping stuff from the market.
I bought 5 old books,3 vases, 1 set of Christmas candles.
Each item was 10DKK! So, I paid total 90DKK.

I can explain just little bit about the books that I bought.
Start from clock direction-It's about old boutiques in Aarhus.
I wonder, if still some of the places are running or not. I will try to find it and one day I will post again about this book.
To the bottom of the old boutiques in Aarhus, this flower cover book is about famous season flowers.
I can say this book will be my best book from the market.
It's about viking history and culture. It will be very useful to how I could understand about Denmark.
The middle book, you can see a church background. It includes drawings and decorations inside a church in Urbino during the Middle age. I think I can get lots of good ideas from this book for my artwork.
The last book is about a Utrillo artist. I can't read Danish, but many drawings showed me something about French life around early 20th century, I think. It could also give me inspiration about colors and textures. It has very nice painting pictures.

Actually, I expected my new candles would be the proper size for my candle holder. But it wasn't. But I will use these for the next Christmas season. Only except these, everything was successful.
And I'm expecting to decorate new vases with flowers.
Next time, I will also upload about these.
Because, now I have to go outside for something and buy flowers.
Ah, and I'm looking forward to go to a different flea market again.
How about go to a flea market for your Spring?:)
